never had issues with signal but lately it has been hell - contentiously get "User has renamed from <name> to <same name>" in group chats with +30 people and it is just SPAMMING that message - specific contacts where I cannot accept their message - general similiar actions that simple dont do anything. This is across multiple devices that are all up-to-date :s

unix permissions/acl in context of LXC containers with mountpoints with a ZFS backed storage makes me want to do violent things. This has been _the_ main point of confusion and I still don't have it sorted.

Acquired https://vildt.net and I will likely be moving my Mastodon account to there (https://sludder.vildt.net) when I feel confident enough - just little headsup for those who care :) The intention is that that server will provide me (and anyone who wanna be part of the web residence!) with a outwards facing services that will federate and interact with the world wide web. This can be anything from Matrix, DeltaChat, PeerTube, Reticulum or whatever feels right.

Any online system which provides information or data, and which enables users to assign additional data or feedback to said information is now fully exploited as free labor for model training. To put it a little more into context; social media has several types of engagement rewarding to users (Upvotes, number of comments, shares, etc.) This can essentially be as used as training rewards for machines- who are potentially acting as humans.

What are people using nowadays for server-based voice chat? Looking for something that has guest features or whatever that doesn't require the user to setup up an account first. Simpler is better. #selfhost #askfedi #mumble #ventrilo #teamspeak #discord #voicechat
