I try to accept things in the spirit in which they&#39;re offered but I really have trouble with the hug emoji as a whole and entire response to anything. Like, as seasoning? Sure. As an opener perhaps. But just that /by itself/ often feels dismissive. (This is not aimed at anyone in particular and I fully understand that this is a Me Problem, much like most of my problems.)
