The libdw improvements should greatly speed dwarf unwinding and inline information. The support is also cross platform. After 2 years of pushing a set of standard metrics primarily for AMD and Intel were merged. To make them obvious the metrics all begin with lpm_. There were lots of other bug fixes and improvements.
