The American iolaire, not the other one :-) Arlington, VA based. I’m a retired data scientist who worked in the commercial real estate data industry for 25 years. My wife and I travel as our main hobbies. I’ve been in the miles and points game for many years. I support Kiva.org. Prior to a kidney transplant, I was on dialysis for three years and continued to travel receiving dialysis treatments around the globe. It’s easier now. As time permits, I spend 6-8 hours per day with AI-assisted coding.

@stux@mstdn.social, we have an issue with pixey.org. On or about September 16, 2026 pixey.org stopped receiving data ( likes/boosts) from services. Since then my only likes have been from other pixey.org members. Example: https://pixey.org/p/iolaire/1012340253400007049 shows zero boosts or likes. However, I liked it on Masto.ai, and an account posted it there: https://masto.ai/@iolaire@pixey.org/117382678258190125, I also liked it from a mastodon.social account.

I’m wondering @riversidebryan@social.lol did you try to migrate all your photos to this new home? If so, was it successful?

@riversidebryan@social.lol thanks. I was wondering if the framework could handle the volume of posts/storage you need to move.

I enjoy everyone's posts on PixelFed. It’s a safe space where I can browse cool stuff. To improve my own sharing of photos from my travels, I built Vedfolnir: Fediverse Composer. It generates AI AltText and Hashtags, and allows me to schedule my posts. Recently, I internationalized the tool to allow posting in Deutsch, English, Español, Français, and 日本語. I welcome feedback: https://vedfolnir.org/ #AltText #Fediverse #Tool #Vedfolnir #AI #AccessibilityFeatures #AltTextGeneration

@riversidebryan@social.lol random comment - one advantage of also following you on mastodon is I get to see your retweets unlike on the pixelfed side. My pixelfed follow list will appreciate that. Thanks for following over here when you made the move.
