Indieweb.social has just been updated to Mastodon v4.6. through @mastohost We've removed Bird UI for now as there were a few teething issues - especially for light mode users. Let us know what you think! ☁️ 💙 #IndieWeb #Mastodon #ServerUpgrade #MastoAdmin

You might have noticed we've gone back to a plain Mastodon UI. With Mastodon v 4.6. we encountered a number of issues with our custom CSS, Bird UI. We looked into a couple of options but have decided to stick with plain Mastodon for the time being. We want indieweb.social to feel like a home to current users and familiar to new users. We hope this solution will work for everyone (and for Mastodon to add more customisation soon!) ☁️ 💙 #IndieWeb #MastoAdmin #MastodonUpdate

Hey @vert mostr.pub was suspended from federating with indieweb.social by the original owner of the service. No one else has requested we reopen the connection but, since you have, we'll reassess and see if we believe mostr.pub opposes the Community Guidelines here.

We've closed signups on indieweb.social for the weekend after a huge increase in attempted spam sign ups. We aren't the only instance going through this. Please show your support to the amazing moderators across the Fediverse! 💙 ☁️ #FediAdmin #SpamWave #Moderation #Admin #Indieweb #FediMod #MastoAdmin

🚨 Mastodon Support Scam 🚨 It looks like there's another wave of fake Mastodon support accounts asking you to verify your account. Do NOT click on any links in these posts. Please report them to your server admin as soon as possible. Please boost so that as many people can be aware of this as possible. Thank you! 💙 ☁️ #FediAdmin #MastoAdmin #MastodonSupport #Scam #Moderation #Report #Mastodon
