I’ve found a few HDDs in old Sky boxes and stuff too that would otherwise work but don’t because they’re locked to the specific device that they’re in. Got a first gen iPad on the cheap. Apparently you can actually upgrade these things to iOS 6 with few tradeoffs, and also to iOS 7 but with most things not working. My end goal is to get the 30-pin dock connector keyboard and use this as a writing tool and for classic apps and games on iOS 6.
