  Anyone want this UNICOS manual that I've lovingly stored for the last 3 decades? (Background: In the early 90s I had the good fortune to attend a fantastic public high school just west of Chicago. At the time, students at Oak Park River Forest high school (OPRF) could gain modest access to some computational chemistry tools running on the Cray systems at the UIUC supercomputing center. The starter pack included an impressive stack of docs, including this one.)

  Observed while walking in Raleigh, NC this morning, a few blocks away from the main office of a large company for which FOSS has a very different meaning.

  @jwildeboer This is incorrect. The ban is not a spending bill. Because of this, a repeal or modification would be subject to the filibuster rule in the Senate. A simple majority is not enough.

  @jwildeboer Yes. Non-enforcement remains an option. I was speaking specifically to your assertion that they could actually repeal or replaced it. (Attempted to do this by slotting this reply under that toot.) Under the current rules, on a purely partisan basis, they cannot. They'll either need democratic votes in the senate or they'll need to nuke what remains of the filibuster.
