  Strangely, for the past two nights, I've been able to go back to sleep after waking up in the middle of the night. Felt sleepy enough. Usually if I wake up in the middle of the night I'm up for two or three hours before being able to fall back to sleep. I haven't started my caffeine-free 48 hours yet so I have no idea why this happened seemingly out of the blue. But it's fine, I'll take it. I just hope it lasts longer than these past two days and isn't just some random q...

  I saw a news segment about the new world screwworm, and I think I'll be avoiding beef for a while as much as I can. It's fucking gross. I'd really like to avoid all animal flesh except chicken, fish, and molluscs. Any kind of raw flesh is gross but I feel like chicken is "cleaner" for some reason. It's certainly healthier.

  I found myself (again) in the unfortunate circumstance of having to listen to Fox News while I smoke a cigarette. Greg Gutfeld is such a goddamn asshole. A woman co-anchor was sympathetic to transgender athletes and he angrily talked over her and cut her off to spew bigotry. I wish she would have punched him in his stupid fucking face.

  I don't know why I don't feel as strongly about veganism as I do about being anti-genAI. I mean I know nobody has consistent meta-principles but like why do I prioritize them this way. I think at least part of the reason is that veganism requires a major lifestyle change.
