  I’m in a hotel room. Just watched half an hour of CNN. The trusted source in news. The bias in their reporting is not even remotely hidden anymore. Everything I heard was 100% Trump talking points. And Trump will obviously keep referring to CNN as fake news. Because it’s never right wing enough.

  The defense of @hochstenbach PhD thesis “Scholarly Communication Using the Decentralized Web” at Ghent University was a total blast. Obviously because of the mere quality of the presented research.   It occurs to me that academic institutions could set up Mastadon servers as a communication conduit at the service of their constituents. In doing so, they would likely give a significant boost to ongoing efforts that aim for a decentralized scholarly communication ecology by familiarizing users with the possibility and benefits of decentralized approaches.
