    @cryptica There&amp;#39;s the #mechaComet over on kickstarter. It&amp;#39;s not really designed as a phone-first device, but there&amp;#39;s an option to have a built in lte modem. I&amp;#39;ll bet someone will come along to create a software dialer for it. best part is it&amp;#39;s true linux, not some sort of frankenstein linux-ized android like the #flx1

    I&amp;#39;m curious why #Linuxmobile has had such a difficult time getting, off the ground. There&amp;#39;s progress, sure, but it often feels like there are more projects failing than there are starting. #pinephone pro comes to mind. in the mean time, I&amp;#39;ve decided to separate my mobile computing into two devices instead of one single smartphone. A dumbphone for calls and texts, and a linux PDA for everything else.

    i&amp;#39;ve come to a few conclusions after watching this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KuNB4ocZDXA I think #linuxmobile as it currently stands, is doomed to fail. Barring an unforseen miracle, it will never be feasable to develop an open and secure platform using non-open, insecure mobile chipsets. I think we need to change course. We can&amp;#39;t compete against modern smartphones, so let&amp;#39;s stop trying to. Let&amp;#39;s make something of our own, even if it will never hav...
