stuff i miss from #firefox in #vivaldi (besides container tabs): video pop-out and superior ad blocking by way of ublock origin. i&#39;m getting by, though. at least i can actually access most sites now. 😓

i tried out #wallabag and #koreader on my kobo to replace #instapaper and the stock interface. i really didn&#39;t care much for it. at least i know i have an option if #kobo ever enshittifies. i still need to pick up a new kobo, though. the battery on this one won&#39;t make it much longer.

#firefox is becoming increasingly more unstable for me and that makes me pretty sad. constant freezes plus cloudflare verification loops across a number of operating systems and chipsets. both fresh installs and installs full of extensions. I am not ready for the monumental effort it&#39;s going to require me to switch to #vivaldi or #brave I do not want a downstream fork because I need my browser to work

just gave #vivaldi another shot because of the 8.0 upgrade and it was fine until i needed to log into several google/microsoft accounts for my clients simultaneously. my forever problem. chromium browsers require separate profiles for this. each profile requires individual setup and will not sync settings. #firefox container tabs are my only solution and firefox is becoming more and more unusable. i&#39;m tired, boss.

powered up the #switch and re-jinected the #cfw because i wanted to try gyro aiming with #daemonxmachina . i still really dislike the switch as a platform but i enjoy the #crkd nitro deck+ very much. sometimes i feel like it&#39;s an awkward controller but most of the time i feel like it&#39;s near perfect. it could use a couple of minor refinements but it&#39;s certainly better than my #rogally z1 extreme&#39;s control setup.

once again loving mute/block features in mastodon. my timeline is pretty tidy. once in a while a social/political blip or ai hyper/hater will slide through but it&#39;s almost five nines of computer crap, viddy games, diy things, with a side of the weird shit you people post. social media was a mistake. i&#39;m glad social networks survived.

enjoyed using elisa for my mp3/flac files but it&#39;s got a weird bug on gnome for me so i&#39;ve been using strawberry. it&#39;s not perfect but it gets the job done. after using webamp for fun on archive.org i would really like to try to use audacious again with the winamp skin. i just wish it had the ability to load and search my entire library.
