  Revisited Pere Ubu's The Modern Dance today. I have a feeling @SteveFaulkner might be a fan? Post-punk while punk was still in its pomp. The minimalist application of synth noises is especially artful.

  Can we talk about SVG filter performance? I knew that animating turbulence parameters in SVG itself (`<animate>`) was a performance hog but it seems to go further than that. When I apply a static turbulence-based filter with CSS to an animated element, even that will make my brand new M4 Macbook Pro's fan go ballistic (!) Remove the filter and everything is cool and quiet, even though I'm sequencing generative music using custom elements behind the animation...
