Upside: got some 10G connections in the homelab now. Downside: DNS got in the way. It's always DNS. I got some more work to do to sync my DNS servers and their records. Time for some Terraform!

Time to refresh the home lab NAS since I don't think HDD prices are getting better anytime soon and my current NAS is 6 or 7 years old. I found some used disks for $25/TB which, at current rates, is pretty good. This also lets me move away from Synology and I'm probably going with TrueNAS this time around with new hardware for the primary system. #homelab #nas #truenas #synology #hardware #hdd #reuse

My AV receiver somehow knows it has a firmware update. It has no network connection enabled, so I have no idea how it figured this out.

Finally beat a run on Risk of Rain 2! I know there’s more to explore since the wiki has some side quest info, but it felt good to finish a run. There’s a thunderstorm ripping through NH tonight and it’s putting on quite a light show. I’m seeing lightning every few seconds, and have been for around half an hour now. One of these years macOS Reminders will be smarter. This is not that year. I wish there was a way to turn off date suggestions for numbers unless you use a specific day of the week or a date with a month. Insert shaking hands meme here where Reminders and Excel are asking: is this a date? Let me format that for you!
