@Curly_dew welcome to the Mastodon world :) It’s a slippery slope, because I’ve also largely left Reddit too (for Lemmy). #fediverse

RE: https://ieji.de/@hank/116369164213611314 An update on this: N8N was perfect for this, so I remade it in the n8n ui and couldn’t be happier. Also n8n is great for this and all kinds of workflow tools, beyond just these “AI for kids” things. https://n8n.io

I teach a choreographed gym class, and I hacked together a really cool tool for myself. It: 1. Reads the PDF choreography table into structured JSON 2. Builds a synchronized .lrc (lyrics) file with the extracted data So happy with this :)

I created this cute little web app using AI for my hyper-specific use case: Reads PDFs I get from Les Mills, scans thru them to find the choreography pages, rasterizes that, and makes it into LRC files, to load next to the MP3 files (also from Les Mills). Now idk what to do next… it’s super cute and helpful for me. But would anyone else understand? #lmlyrics

My list of side projects is growing at an unsustainable pace now... 1. https://Skyway.run -- still happy with the publicity on this one, but struggling to find good graphic design help. 2. https://Retainless.com -- dog-fooding this one for *1 because I want to avoid Google Analytics (& Google generally) 3. IMAP-SES -- my little fake IMAP server so I can run a helpdesk for *1 more easily 4. LMLyrics -- this new Les Mills choreography -> lyrics file extractor (which has made it...

I've finally been able to solve one of the biggest challenges in my map data assembly: Now overlapping routes offset themselves, so you can see that it's two transit lines running in parallel. Still need a cuter design for the map generally, but at least the data is available now for offsetting things when needed #skywayapp

Do I need to blog? Is this how I get my open source projects to take off?

In #skywayapp - Noticed some sync issues from the last 2 runs, which are now fixed. Should start reflecting any @openstreetmap changes automatically again, every week. And now I get an email alert if it fails again :)

So is on-device LLM models going away?(I always thought it was a waste of valuable RAM) Private Compute Cloud always seemed like the better way #wwdc26

Wow very quickly proven wrong. I guess 3rd party apps will be using CoreAI and on-device LLM. Ew.

RE: https://ieji.de/@hank/116715839499650593 Which is a really big bummer for my 15 Plus. No RAM for Apple Intelligence, and therefore none of these features ... even though most of them are powered by the cloud anyway.
