Have to say that the intelligent but flat stare of the sheep in Alien Earth was fantastically done. Creepy and captivating the whole time. #AlienEarth

One thing Elisabeth and I enjoyed immensely while living in Cali in ‘23/‘24 was having Dim Sum almost every Sunday morning in Mountain View after we’d visit the amazing farmer’s market. Back home in Va, I started testing recipes and settled on a core set that have enabled us to continue our Sunday tradition at home. Entirely homemade Lo Mai Gai (with Char Siu), Siu Mai, Har Gow and Chili Oil are the current roster. I make batches and freeze them to last a few weekends in a row. #dimsum #food

Starting to bring my personal Mastodon instance online slowly and testing the waters. If you see any seemingly redundant follows or probing activity from @halfpress@halfpress.com, just know it's me experimenting while I decide when and whether to migrate my account fully.

Ok, my new instance is running nicely, I've ported everything over and archived my account history here. So, please do re-join me at @halfpress@halfpress.com if the automated migration doesn't update you as it should. My old posts will remain here as an archive (not that I'm under any illusions it's a key piece of the historic record). :) See ya over there, I hope! #mastodonmigration

This 1970 video from RCA declaring war on IBM’s mainframe market is a complete riot. It’s historically interesting, of course, but the many 70s era puzzling production and marketing choices are a sight to behold. @LibrarianRA@worldkey.io @tankgrrl@hachyderm.io https://youtube.com/watch?v=GygR1Nbrhfc&si=0TwVD5VO0yMpdVIW #retrocomputing #retro
