  Is there an idiomatic way on #linux for a shared library to find out the executable name of the process in which the library is currently loaded (without depending on proc file system)? Note: I am using LD_PRELOAD and the library should do something different for certain executables.

  Is there any job market (offering sustainable income) with a shortage of labor or have we just reached a point where we have more labor than available work? Wondering if pursuing undergrad in some engineering with programming skills is better than pure computer science?

  Wish a laid off person on work #visa could continue to stay as long as their current visa is valid. This will give the much needed time to look for another job and avoid uprooting! People on work visa do not get any government benefits either & are not a strain on the economy.

  @deadparrot I've watched this multiple times, inspirational and insightful! Having invested in both Emacs & XEmacs, I tend to closely follow anyone related and @jwz did play a huge role. I also happen to work in the same building (or the adjacent one) where all this Netscape stuff happened. Just humbling to walk through the corridors where history was made.
