  Ice Cream Man by Eli Roth, 2026 ✅ Knowing zilch about it except it was horror, I wasn’t prepared for relentless splatter, but hey. ❌ No dramatic structure beyond or between the occasional plot point, and every set location overstays its welcome. ✅ The narrative is a concatenation of tropes, but kudos for making a stratospherically harebrained plot point work out in the end. It wants to be crude & unpleasant and there it succeeds. Also, 👍 for Super 8 and 👎 for animated cartoon slop....

  Trying to get my favorite games running on Mac in Crossover opens up new and exciting levels of hurt. My old pre-Corona Win10 box still runs fine, but it will be the damn last Windows-based PC in this here household, I swear. XP SP2 was fine. 10 okay. ME, Vista, 7, and 8 I successfully refused to touch. But 11? That’s Mordor wrapped into the Hell level of Doom3. #games #crossover #mac

  In the Grey by Guy Ritchie, 2026 ✅ Suspense-driven 100 bpm heist/action flick that never lets up being clever and funny. ✅ Gyllenhaal is every damn bit as sexy as *looks at watch* twenty-five years ago. ❌ One particularly egregious trope claws its way out of its grave toward the ending in a scene sufficiently sloppily plotted to accommodate it. Perfect popcorn movie with franchise potential. #movies

  Demon Seed by Donald Cammell, 1977 ❌ Rosemary’s Baby in sci-fi, but terrible. ❌ Screenplay, dialogues, action, camera, cut, pacing, you name it, are staggeringly bad or utterly boring or both. ❌ It achieves the impossible by letting even Christie’s performance look like a school play rehearsal. I had no idea that having sex with an AI looks like the $4.99 Walmart version of 2001: A Space Odyssee. #movies
