    @randahl@mastodon.social Fucking around is a lot more fun than finding out. When I was a kid and first saw Gone With the Wind I felt bad watching this scene. Not now. And while I feel sad that some folks in Russia are suffering, well, they chose this situation. It could very well get worse for them before it gets better. Putin&#39;s limited military operation has outlasted World War I, which led to regime change. Putin won&#39;t go without a fight, should the Russian people again decide...

    Question to the AI-code folks... Since CPUs and FPGAs are written in languages like VHDL and Verilog, are the HW folks getting any traction using AI-generated code? If not, why not?

    Some weeks ago I suggested that Musk was cutting off Russian access (in Ukraine) to Starlink because he was trying to make nice with Ukraine, and that Ukraine might harbor ill-will towards Musk for interrupting comms in Crimea back in 2022. Boy, did I misunderstand the scope of the issue. The ill-will that Russia now holds towards Mr. Musk is immense.
