I'd like to ask certain Christians about what they see as Christ's most important contributions to the religion. Some of them seem to think that Christianity is basically the Old Testament, minus the dietary laws, with the Sabbath on Sunday, and celebrating Christmas and Easter. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026/apr/21/trump-bible-passage-oval-office #christianity

The religious mentality continues to mystify me. A man thanks God because he survived when his car crashed into a black cow on the highway. By why did God even make him crash? My partner suggests that it was the Devil that put the cow there, black things are a sign of his work, but this raises more questions. Isn't the Devil only an instrument in God's plan? Or was God only powerful enough to let the man survive, but not powerful enough to prevent the crash entirely? https://www...

From https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sydney_Push The Royal George was the headquarters of the Downtown Push, usually known as just the Push.... As well as the Libertarians and the aesthetes there were the small-time gamblers, traditional jazz fans and the homosexual radio repair men who had science fiction as a religion. The back room had tables and chairs. If you stuck your head through the door of the back room you came face to face with the Push.... 1/2

It seems that any state is only one change of leadership away from committing crimes against humanity. Most have either done it in the past or are doing it now, and will most likely do it again. There are no laws, constitutions, or treaties that can't be ignored, changed or abolished. The only real constraint on their power is the willingness and ability of a mass population or other states to oppose.
