I like how #StarTrekSNW (and other new #StarTrek shows) keep the tradition alive of re-using everyday 20th/21st century objects, like the transparent garden hose used as an energy conduit/cable in "The Griffin Incident"⬆️. "Who Mourns for Adonais?"⬇️ also features such 20th century circuits and cables.

The USS Griffin did "its thing" right from the start of the #StarTrekSNW episode "The Griffin Incident". Notice how pristine the ship looks (after 8 years in a debris field) when it is first discovered by the shuttle crew ⬆️ and how it actually looks at the end of the episode ⬇️ (I pixelated Sam Kirk).

I think in 30 years of #StarTrek nights in my house, we have never watched this one together. There's a first time for everything! :-) #ForTheWorldIsHollowAndIHaveTouchedTheSky

These screenshots from #StarTrekTNG's "The Mind's Eye"⬆️ and "Time Squared"⬇️ illustrate nicely how the shuttlebay doors were hidden behind a fake wall and the second level of the cargo bay set when the shuttlebay ⬇️ was redressed as the cargobay ⬆️.

Look what arrived in my mailbox today - "The Art of #StarTrekLowerDecks"! 😍 This is an excellent book with many many pictures, design sketches and background tidbits. Each episode is covered on 4-8 pages and it includes COUNTLESS beautiful images and orthos of all the various alien and Starfleet ships seen on the show. Of course, all the different versions of the USS Cerritos (inside+outside) seen on the show are also covered. My verdict: "This book will nourish me fo...

We see the Bajoran General insgnia for the first time in #StarTrekDS9's "The Circle" where they are worn by General Krim. This rank features two Bajoran rank insignia shaped like the Bajoran emblem, one worn on each side of the collar.

I love that the Angel I logo, seen in several places on the planet surface in #StarTrekTNG's "Angel One"↙️↘️ is seen on the cocktail glasses from Angel I in #StarTrekLowerDecks' "Empathalogical Fallacies"⬆️. As an alien emblem junkie, this made me very happy! :-)

...and we wouldn't want it any other way! ❤️❤️ Because, as Captain Janeway always says "Mister Kim, we're Starfleet officers. Weird is part of the job." :-) #StarTrekLowerDecks "Empathalogical Fallacies"

Watched "Anne of the Thousand Days" today, mostly to finally see Geneviève Bujold in more than just her brief Nicole Janeway #StarTrekVoyager scenes. Funny how she played a character replacing a Catherine only to be replaced by somebody playing a Kathryn 25 years later...😅

Well, we watched the second 80's Columbo episode "Murder, Smoke and Shadows"↖️↙️↘️ last night and there was another recurring Modern Props console (2nd pic) often seen on #StarTrekTNG, like here in "Home Soil"↗️... :-) The old Modern Props website listed it as "Modern Props designed and fabricated computerized lab / medical / control room cabinet with six burner lights on top panel that light in sequence with remote control."

The cargo transporter console, originally created for #StarTrekTNG's "The Mind's Eye"⬇️ appears in the torpedo lab in "In Theory"↖️. A larger version of the same console type also appears in the lab for the first time in that episode ↗️.

I've always found it interesting that the Bajorans put their emblem everywhere (and I mean EVERYWHERE, here at the DS9 temple entrance) but their religious leaders do not wear it anyhwere on their body, neither Kai Opaka (here in #StarTrekDS9's "Battle Lines") nor Kai Winn.

The filming equipment that was still visible at the top of the screen in this bridge shot in the original version of #StarTrekTNG's "The Mind's Eye"⬆️ was digitally removed for the remastered HD version of the episode ⬇️.

#StarTrekTOS' "Is There in Truth no Beauty?"⬅️⬆️⬇️ and "Day of the Dove"➡️ (both in the Enterprise rec room) feature three more alien planet surface paintings by Mike Minor. I particularly love the top one featuring an alien ziggurat (on Alpha ???) and a large crescent moon in the background.

Kivas Fajo's precious Mark Off-Zel vase in #StarTrekTNG's "The Most Toys"↖️ is later often seen again in Kkingon contexts' "Reunion"↗️, "The Mind's Eye"⬅️, "Redemption I"➡️, it even appears in Worf's possession in his Enterprise-D quarters in "Rightful Heir"↙️ and "Parallels"↘️.

When it comes to branding their own Empire, the Klingons know how to do it. In #StarTrekTNG's "The Mind's Eye" you can find the Klingon emblem in several places, including on the familiar silver shields and metallic table. While the Mike Minor paintings (all only appearing in season 3 of #StarTrekTOS) that I wrote about in the last three days appeared in at least 2 episodes, these three paintings are only seen in the rec room in "Is There in Truth no Beauty?". The middle one fives me Tatooine vibes.

I love when we get a good look at the aft beidge stations on the USS Enterprise-D. Here, the engineering side panel is nicely seen in its entirety in #StarTrekTNG's "The Mind's Eye".

#StarTrekDS9's "Progress" is another early episode with numerous appearances of stylized versions of the Bajoran emblem. Here a highly decorative version of the emblem can be seen on the inside and outside of the door of Mullibok's house on Jeraddo.

The Recaro C chair ↗️ was often used as the basis of Klingon chairs on #StarTrek, as seen here in "Star Trek IV"↖️, "The Mind's Eye"↙️ and "Reunion"↘️. Notice how the Klingon letters hide the Recaro sign on the backrest of the chair.

These alien planet (surface) paintings by Mike Minor are only seen in Miranda Jones' guest quarters in #StarTrekTOS' "Is There in Truth No Beauty?". This is is actually also three separate paintings (notice the three labels) and the bottom one reminds me of Vulcan.

Here's a comparison of the E-Band Parametric Signal Analysis, as seen on the aft bridge Science I station in the original ⬆️ and remastered ⬇️ versions of #StarTrekTNG's "The Mind's Eye". It's interesting how the format of the animated LCARS display (added in post) has changed.

There are several different windows, all shaped like abstract versions of the Bajoran emblem, in Mullibok's home on Jeraddo in #StarTrekDS9's "Progress". In one of the coolest shots, you can see one Bajoran emblem window through a differently shaped Bajoran emblem window ↘️.

The cargobay transporter platform in #StarTrekTNG's "The Mind's Eye"⬆️ has changed position slightly in comparison to "The Hunted"⬅️ and "Hollow Pursuits"➡️. It will next be seen as a podium at the Khitomer Conference in "Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country"⬇️.

There's one final triad of alien planet (surface) paintings by Mike Minor in #StarTrekTOS' "Is There in Truth no Beauty" but we sadly only see the bottom one (featuring a cool alien pyramid) and the bottom of the middle one (it's...it's...green!). I'm sure the label says "Aldebaran V". 🧵 1/2

I don't know whtat this is but if you look closely at the left side of the original ⬅️ and remastered (even more so there) ➡️ version of this shot in #StarTrekTNG's "The Mind's Eye", you can see that something is poking into the shot, I don't know what this is. 😅

The circular/spiral element of the Bajoran emblem is seen on its own again in #StarTrekDS9's "Progress". It can be found above the door to Mullibok's house. The spiral alone also must have significance to the Bajorans.

Here's a comparison of the second scene featuring the E-Band Parametric Signal Analysis. as seen in the original ⬅️ and remastered ➡️ versions of #StarTrekTNG's "The Mind's Eye". Here's an overview of the 16 paintings created by Mike Minor that were actually seen in season 3 of #StarTrekTOS. I've also included a quote from Starlog Issue 25 (August 1979) in which Mike Minor himself reveals how his paintings ended up on #TOS. I hope you enjoyed this little foray into space art. :-)
