This was for sale with it&#39;s antennas and everything at the hamfest. But the dude wanted 540eur for this (400 - 470MHz), the 100 - 170MHz model and antennas in their carrying case for both. Which was a bit too much for the toy. Especially when I only wanted the UHF one.

Bought one of these out of curiosity. And it&#39;s not very good. FM broadcast band cannot differentiate weaker stations from each other and only a few strong stations are listenable. But the audio quality for those is actually pretty cool. Did not hear anything on shortwave or medium wave in the day time. So I guess I need to figure out how to hook up a proper antenna to it. Outside of just wrapping a wire around that big inductor.

Why tf does my connection still feel really sluggish? Speedtest does show more ping on uplink, but it should not make things that much worse.
