I can count on one hand the amount of times that music has moved me to tears, and its never happened with one of my own songs. I haven&#39;t listened or even thought about this since I recorded it, but now I remember it was the night after I had accidentally watched my first snuff film. An unnamed video of the Christchurch Massacre was uploaded to a Signal chat in 2019. I&#39;m in my shed listening to music I love. I&#39;m writing the recap for the tech conference I hosted last month - it&#39;s a couple weeks late. But I&#39;m working at this instead of biking my ass downtown to see a cool local music show. And it struck me that I feel guilty for enjoying recorded music, something that wasn&#39;t possible for most of human history. Sitting on my front porch on a nice day, I love hearing the sound of power tools. Some neighbor, somewhere is building or fixing something. A whirling drill is a sound that says. “Hey neighbor, I’m working on some shit over here. I plan on sticking around and I’m doing something to make it a little nicer”

My band practiced tonight. This is the VERY FIRST take of the VERY FIRST time I&#39;ve tried to record a full band in my #shedStudio I think it sounds pretty damn good for what was supposed to be a test - though I did just do a bit of EQ on it ;)
