  I'm someone that usually prefers being alone. Being with people can sure be fun, but you have to keep compromising to make everybody happy. Sometimes, that includes bad actors. By being independent, it gives you the freedom to do what you want whenever you want.

  I just received the t-shirt sample that I ordered from #printeez 5 days ago. The design looks nice and well printed. But it did not print some of the gradients/transparencies that my original image has. It's a #gildan 5000 and it feels a bit rough to the touch. We'll see if it gets softer over time. If I ever start my own #merch website, I'll probably use this supplier. Printeez is based close to where I live. In Granby, #quebec #canada

And save time if you cook in bulk. I did some rough maths, Depending on the recipe, every meal costs me around 1$ to 3$ each. You have to invest in kitchen gear and tools though. #cooking #mealprep

  With the price of #energy rising, #eu seems to adopt alternatives for every day people. Balcony #solar systems. For a one time cost, you can decentralise a bit of #electricity generation for yourself. But as always, #canada is so behind. We don't seem to have the technical certifications and requirements to make it work.   If #canada wants to distance itself from the #usa It will need to: - Encourage Canadian businesses to compete with American alternatives. - Stop losing qualified Canadian workers to the Americans that often pay more. Overall, just become competitive and attractive by building great products/services with qualified workers in good companies. Not just in tech, but any area. #business #entrepreneur #worker

While it is true that Qlub might compete with Big Tech and host a smaller community, It is not isolated. It is open and federated.

  I'm so sick of Americans saying: - It's just the president - It's not our fault - Don't confuse the president with us - etc. I don't care, it's not my problem. It's also the arrogant attitude they think they are invulnerable, above it all and too big to fail. Something is fundamentally wrong with the USA. And until they fix it, I want to boycott and limit my exposure to anything US.

  Instead of buying your video games on #steam Buy from #gog when you can Not only GOG is based in #poland (and not the USA) But the games that they have are DRM-free. You're not purchasing a license linked to an account that can get closed/banned at any moment. It means you actually own the games that you're buying for real. Steam has a much bigger catalogue though. #gaming #videogames

  Alright, I just moved to my new #mastodon instance fraxoweb.social. Compared to the last one where I was solo #selfhosting , I'm going to allow people to join this new one. For now, the goal is to be Canadian mastodon instance where both #french and #english is used and accepted. #canada We'll see how that goes.

  A few months ago, a Canadian judge got her #amazon , #google , #uber, credit cards accounts, etc. closed. She was doing her job investigating war crimes made in Afghanistan, including by the #USA That offended Americans. They decided to close all her accounts, which they have control over.
