    I enjoy hosting my own email. I believe email has become increasingly concentrated in the hands of just a few providers. Recently, I considered migrating my mail server to Stalwart. After spending some time testing and evaluating it, however, I decided not to make the switch. I wrote about my experience and the reasons behind that decision.     Attention Babb users: Today I’ll migrate some firewall rules from legacy to the new model required by the router. Unexpected things might happen, but we got a backup :)

    And the babb infrastructure is now running on upgraded databases. Sorry for the downtime. Only upgrade missing are the ingresses, but I&#39;l leave it to when I have a bit more time.

    I am in desperate need to move my Dovecot + Postfix mail rig to something else. All this because Dovecot stopped supporting replication between services. A lot of people recommended Stalwart. But it&#39;s so cluster centric, so full of little quirks, that I&#39;m almost giving up. I just want redundancy. That&#39;s all. I don&#39;t want to install cluster nodes, a lot of cluster-based storage and databases.

    ** Maintenance downtown ** Today I&#39;ll perform some annual upgrades on our infrastructure. If you use some of the babb services, note that they might feel unstable or down. I&#39;ll start the work soon. Not sure I&#39;ll finish everything I have in mind, but at least OS and Kubernetes upgrade should be performed.

    @km@mastodon.babb.no the point with replication was of uttermost importance to me. The peace of mind it gave me, as well as being able to trust my service, was very important. My main email became exactly the one I operate :)
