  @freeformz @tedder Monthly costs are masto.host: $149 digital ocean: $64.30 (for pixelfed) patreon brings in $172 right now honestly I think the pixelfed server should be shut down. Costs could definitely be cut by moving off of masto.host.

  Hey all, I've begun the process of transitioning the management of pdx.social over to a group of folks. I've been running the site since 2017 and it feels like its time for some new energy. The new team consists of @agnes who will be leading community engagement and moderation as well as @tedder & @hanse00 who will be handling the technical side of things. Big shout out to them for stepping up to volunteer! ❤️

  @BalooUriza Yuck, looks like a subdomain takeover. I turned control of DNS over to the new @admins some time ago. They'll need to investigate.

  For other djangonauts out there: this is an excellent guide for migrating a production app to a custom User model BUT you need to deploy all the changes up to step 5 to all your deployments (prod, stage, etc).
