    fun fact: when writing id3 tags ffmpeg might IGNORE the text encoding setting if the text you&#39;re writing is ascii. There&#39;s no option to disable this or force it to use UTF-16-BOM. It&#39;ll put in the header that the text is in UTF-16 and write it in ISO-8859 ask me how I know ​:neofox_floof_explode:​ EDIT: the text encoding type is written per-tag, so it&#39;s not that bad, but it still breaks in my usecase EDIT 2: it no longer breaks? I have no idea why my player didn&#39;t recognize...
