    Still thinking about the comment I read on Birbsite about Mastodon last night: that it&amp;#39;s not a good place for activism, and that&amp;#39;s a problem. That&amp;#39;s … right, isn&amp;#39;t it? Surprisingly for a Birbsite comment about here. And it&amp;#39;s not a good thing.

    @ben It *could* be good news. Or it could lead to another walled garden takeover. Google Reader absorbed and then killed most of RSS. Google Talk, XMPP/Jabber.
