@BeautifulSunPhotography@sfba.social Well planned. Too many don't allow room for the grief.

#3GoodThings 4.8.2026 - One more sleep to Adventure and my bags are packed and waiting by the door! - Carry-on bag arrived on time this afternoon and is everything I needed. - Except the backpack slide buckle was sewn on wrong and the strap doesn't tighten. It was too late to return it, so I sewed it in place. I reported the issue and LL Bean still refunded me the full price without a return.

#3GoodThings 4.6.2026 - hobie did not have to stay over at the hospital Friday night after having tightness in his chest while doing #hobieProjects - spent Saturday on the couch watching Midsommer Murders and Canal Diaries and reading - drove up to Mom's for Easter dinner with her and my brother's family Bonus: made it home before the major rain hit

@danstafford@mastodon.social It was very Next Gen to me and it grew on me just as Next Gen did. I'm really hoping that we at least get to see S2 since it's already been filmed. Definitely signed the petition.

@GuerillaOntologist@social.coop @afewbugs@social.coop LOL. I was pretty much going to say the same thing. If a conference can find a sponsor to offer ANY form of healthcare for attendees, I would be way more excited to attend. Heck, can you imagine if they were offering Cologuard kits?!?

@mekkaokereke@hachyderm.io Yep. When I was 13 or 14, a woman followed me into the bathroom screaming about how my parents needed to whup my a$$ for holding hands with a black boy at a skating rink. It was scary but unimportant. The thing that freaked me out is that when I told my dad and my friend's father what had happened, suddenly her dad remembered some event that meant she couldn't stay over. He had come to the rink with her overnight bag. I was never invited to their house again.

@RiaResists@mastodon.social I try as hard as I can to #boycottamazon but I put that flag up in 2020 along with my pride flag and the US flag (higher). I have found a local replacement for the pride flag but can't find the other. I wound up buying 2 from the bad place when they were on discount. Fingers crossed I can get them local next time.

Now I want to talk about the men who stand next to him. Because this is the part that actually breaks my heart. JD Vance is not a bad man. I have to say that, because it is true, and because the truth matters even now, especially now. Marco Rubio is not a bad man. Lindsey Graham is not a bad man. They are idiots, but not bad, as in BAD! These are men with mothers who raised them and children who love them and friends who remember who they were before all of this. They are not monsters. Monsters...

And in the comments tonight, the followers celebrate. People who ten years ago brought casseroles to grieving neighbours. Who stood in the rain at gravesides and meant the words they said. Who told their children that we do not speak ill of the dead because the dead were someone's beloved. Those people are tonight typing gleeful things about a man whose daughters are not yet done crying. And they feel clean doing it. Righteous. Because somewhere along the way the thing they were given in exc...

@briankrebs@infosec.exchange Yep. I spent hours researching sewing machines and all the quick links were attached to Amazon. When I made my choice, I carefully wrote the model down and went to the manufacturer's website to order. Came from Amazon. Showed up on my credit card as an Amazon purchase.

@Professor_Stevens@mastodon.gamedev.place Weirdly, as a GenXer growing up with the daily fear of nuclear war, living so close to the BIG TARGETS made things easier. We might see a bright flash but more likely we wouldn't even know it happened. BONUS! - We wouldn't have to live in the Mad Max times.

Whew. Yesterday was a very long day for poll workers in NC. With polls open from 6:30-7:30pm, almost every worker spent at least 14 hours securing your right to vote.
