Expedition 33 has probably the best turn-based combat system I’ve ever played, dang. It’s so satisfying and fast, doesn’t even feel turn-based sometimes

I find it funny that there's a specific genre of Brazilian music that's made to play outside of Brazil People over here always play those songs and as a Brazilian I've never heard them in my life. I've heard "Samba do Brasil" for the first time ever a month ago and apparently that's *the* Brazilian song over here

Siri in iOS 27 started being really annoying in that, whenever I ask for a reminder, it would reply with "did you mean X or Y?" every time. Today, instead of doing that, it simply created 5 reminders with different variations of the sentence I said, instead of 1. None of the 5 had the correct word. Not to mention the "remind me to do X tomorrow morning" often adds "tomorrow morning" as the title of the reminder, not the date.

Cool Link: OverpAId — Fire Your CEO. Hire The Future. > OverpAId is not coming for the people who do the actual work. It is coming, with extreme prejudice, for exactly one category of job: the one that spent the last forty years insisting everyone else’s job was replaceable. This is fantastic. https://overpaid.lol/

Cool Link: Why Does Everyone Think 1984 Agrees With Them? by Jacob Geller Incredible video essay going deep into the use of George Orwell’s 1984 by the entire political spectrum as something that validates their ideals. It also goes a bit into Orwell’s life explaining the context around the book’s original publication and how it was never prophetic, but reflective of a perpetual feeling in Orwell’s mind (and ours). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4cdowB9udPc

I finally gathered the willpower to play Baldur’s Gate 3 again and finally finish Act 2, which is where I stopped last time when I got pissed off at all the bugs. I kinda hate playing it (it feels like it’s gonna break at any moment and the console controls suck), but damn the story and characters are awesome

It’s been over 2 years since I played Disco Elysium and I still can’t listen to any part of its soundtrack without tearing up immediately. La Revacholiere just breaks me immediately. I think it’s just my favorite piece of art ever. It’s so good. If you haven’t played it, you totally should (but please pirate it)

Cool Link: TinyStart by Niléane If you use a Mac, you probably know that Spotlight (the search box/launcher that opens when you press ⌘+Space) is shit. It’s slow, inconsistent, slow, and tries to do too much at once. (did I say it’s slow?) TinyStart strips out all the useless stuff and keeps just the essentials, which means it’s really fast. You can launch apps, links and folders, and also pick emojis (it’s better than the built-in emoji picker too!). It’s a €5 one-time purchase, with free upd...

Cool Link: The new Amazônia Logo (and brand) The Brazilian Amazon now has a brand and a logo, with the intent of promoting the 9 states it occupies as a tourist destination! And wow, that logo is a thing of beauty. The entire branding is pretty neat, but the logo is especially stunning. Each letter is based on real curves of the Amazon river (the longest river in the world), and each letter is also from a different state! Great taste and great execution, here. And all made in Brazil. 🇧🇷 And not...

Quick Review: Project Hail Mary Project Hail Mary 2026, Phil Lord, Christopher Miller My rating: I like it There’s a bunch of good sci-fi movies out there, but very few that lean so much into the “sci” part of it. Everything that happens in the movie feel believable* even if they’re completely alien to us (it is a space movie, after all), and there’s a pretty good story in there too. If you liked The Martian or Interstellar, you’re gonna love this one. *except for the idea of humanity working...

If you’re a @phanpy fan using an iPhone or iPad, and you’re in the EU or Japan (where @altstore PAL is available), good news 👀 I’ve made a native iOS build that you can install right now through AltStore PAL! It's called... iPhanpy. It’s still Phanpy at its core, just without the usual iOS PWA headaches. It feels smoother, stays longer in memory, and even comes with a neat Liquid Glass app icon. If you have AltStore PAL installed, you can copy the link below and add it as a source in...
