I moved back to Raindrop and imported all my bookmarks. I used their AI, Stella, to organize them, and it worked so well! I always struggled with organization in Raindrop, and I think it’s finally solved.

Even after years of using Reddit, I still can’t understand why the site is so unpleasant to look at. Reddit and GitHub are two websites whose interfaces feel unnecessarily cluttered and dated. There’s no obvious reason they couldn’t have cleaner, simpler, and more modern designs.

What's the difference between Siri AI and Apple Intelligence? It's not quite clear to me.

Gemini is NOT able to pull up my flight details from Gmail, even with Personal Intelligence enabled and Google Workspace connected. So why do people keep saying what Apple demoed is “two-year-old tech”? Can any AI assistant actually do this today?

Tech leaders are starting to say the quiet part out loud. At Davos 2026, Satya Nadella acknowledged something important. He said that if AI remains concentrated within Big Tech, it risks becoming a bubble. 1/3

Writing is now a commodity, but ideas are not.

I used to really like One Card Credit Card, but all my international transactions have been failing every month. Their customer service is useless. I am going to cancel this card. 1/3

Tifo’s Ring for Analysis podcast series is outstanding. The concept and the analysis is top tier, and as usual Joe Devine’s narration is exceptional.

In my first deep dive, I explore the evolution of authentication from basic login to sessions and tokens, federated identity, and single sign on, along with the architectural patterns that power modern identity systems. https://www.bytefork.dev/how-authentication-works/

Superhuman has agreed to acquire Rows. They previously acquired Grammarly and Coda. They’re assembling an interesting productivity suite, but it’s unclear what the product actually is, or where it’s headed.

Umbrel Pro is really interesting. I want to try it but NVMe SSDs are so expensive now. May be in the future.

If Open Claw is like Arch Linux, Cowork is like macOS.

In my previous deep dive, I explored Authentication. This time I look at the other half of system security, Authorization. From simple role checks to OAuth based delegation, this post walks through how modern systems enforce Authorization. https://www.bytefork.dev/how-authorization-works/

My Fastmail subscription is up for renewal and this time I decided to not extend. I have moved my email to iCloud+ with Custom Domain. I’m am very interested to see how it performs. I already have iCloud+ so this comes for free.

There’s still a long way before AI coding agents become the default. The limitation isn’t capability anymore, it’s usage limits. I’m burning through a full month’s quota of tokens or requests in a single day. That’s not sustainable, which shows how far we still have to go.

AirPods Max 2 is a real disappointment. The biggest issues with the original were its weight and price and that hasn't changed. It becomes uncomfortable during long use and they also haven’t introduced a more affordable version either.

I really like the new redesign of The Verge homepage. It’s more clearer and simpler now. More predictable than before.
