It occurred to me to ask folks in /r/kitchenconfidential for their experiences with autistics in kitchens—not for me but for the community here and on autistic subreddits. I think you'll be pleased by the response. In a nutshell: a LOT of folks in professional kitchens are autistic, AuDHD, or ADHD.   Argh. Really want to take the wife to see Hail Mary and really really don't want to go to a movie theater. 🤦‍♂️ Movie theaters have been ruined for me since March 2020. Unless it's a matinee and basically empty, nope. And most of the fun of going to the theater is the social experience. May just wear a Hazmat suit for Avengers: Doomsday. No way I'd miss a "Cap wielding Mjolnir"-type experience in the theater.

  A bit of a tangent from my usual posts but: Mechwarrior 5's Shadow of Kerensky DLC is brilliant! It's the best DLC by far of all of them in the 5 years since the game's release. It almost feels like a new game!

  @autistics Rejected by a lawyer for SSDI representation because they don't see me as a winning (or likely winning) case. SSDI lawyers are only allowed to collect some percentage of back benefits. Of course they gamify the system by representing those most likely to win. So those of us in-between? With adult diagnosis?
