EB Hymne, our new typeface, is designed by Catalogue Général (Jean-Marie Courant &amp; Marie Proyart) and Jérôme Foubert. EB Hymne is the result of an in-depth investigation into the typographic work of German poet Stefan George (1868–1933). A collective project, EB Hymne offers a contemporary reinterpretation of the poet&#39;s typeface, from the first amendments he requested in 1904 to an uchronian projection through the prism of the New Typography of the 1920s. type-design-nerds-community we are working on a sans-serif typeface and currently designing italics (not a slanted version neither a “true” italic whatever true means), which turns out to be as hard as hell. any ressources for this specific kind of design? 🙏

Meet EB Venezia, by Alan Madić and Clara Dousson, a typeface inspired by the work produced for Olivetti and their typewriters. Designed in 1976 for the TES 501 electronic typewriter, a typeface named Venezia served as the basis for Madić and Dousson’s new typeface.
