Yesterday, at 4am, the Senate confirmed the president's personal defense atty as the next US Atty General, then they all left town on recess. I don't understand how congressional Democrats have the organizational ability to get elected but have no clue how to force the media to properly cover the Regime's coup. Me? I'd organize my colleagues, campout on the Capitol steps 24/7, & make noise until the media properly covers what's going on in DC. Why are the Dems so inept? T...

Uh-oh! A debt-fuelled boom "More than a million South Koreans are underwater as a result of the crash, and several hundred thousand have lost everything..." "They borrowed to the hilt to take part in a frenzied splurge on technology stocks, particularly memory chip makers, in a market now experiencing a savage reversal." "Nothing, not even the stellar earnings of the country's two biggest chip makers, has been able to stem the panic..." Via: @SrRochardBunso...

I can't even being to tell you how much I love this! This sign is on a bridge that crosses the Animas River. In the upper left corner it says, "Aztec Ruins National Monument." The bridge is on the route of the Old Chaco Road (850-1250CE) & the Old Spanish Trail (1829-1850). The little group of lights seen above the right side of the sign is where I now live! The Aztec Ruins (structures) are in the dark on the far right. (Note: The structures are Ancestral Puebloan , not Aztec.)...

I found this nice photo of a Crotaphytus collaris (collared lizard) that I made when I took a Bloomberg reporter out on a recon of the first Tesla Gigafactory under construction east of Reno. Yours truly broke the news. Back then I was heavily involved in the energy / EV space. This was back when we all knew Musk was a mercurial employer / person, but before the world found out he would happy commit--in my opinion--crimes against humanity. #WIldlife #EV #Energy #Photography #Darktable

Once upon a time, eleven years ago, my strawberry patch looked like this. I learned after they started dying back several years later that you have to cut the runners once the new plant has established itself. Leaving it connected to the old plant will cause it to die when the old plant dies. Strawberry plants only live 5-8 years--so cut those runners! #Strawberry #Gardening #Fruit

"The Bureau of Land Management is proposing to reopen lands around Chaco Culture National Historical Park to oil and gas leasing. "The move would reverse a 2023 decision that created a 10-mile protective buffer zone around the park for 20 years. "Pueblo leaders oppose the plan, citing the area's cultural significance and incomplete surveys of historic properties." Story here: https://www.azcentral.com/story/news/local/arizona/2026/07/16/blm-plans-to-open-chaco-canyon-t...

Today in our lurch toward the Kessler syndrome, I read: The FCC approved a giant orbital mirror. The company wants to launch thousands of them so they can sell daylight to solar farms, construction sites, &c. https://skyandtelescope.org/astronomy-news/observers-beware-reflect-orbitals-space-mirrors-approved-for-launch/ Folks better start start screaming about the environmental and aesthetic impacts of giant satellite constellations or y'all are going to lose the night sky forever.

It's my raven friend at Hovenweep Nat. Mon., but I haven't seen it for the last several years, sadly. It used to sit on the structure seen in the photo that stands at the head of a narrow canyon surrounded by similar structures. The raven would sit there making gurgling croaking noises, beak snaps, & caws that would echo on the wind up & down the canyon as if it were asking: "Where did all of the ancient ones go? Where are they?" #Archeology #Travel #RoadTrip #Birds #P...
