@CptSuperlative I think a client could do that, e.g., a phone app could notify you (with a mute option) when comments followed yours. If I&#39;m right that nothing about the Mastodon platform would prevent it, I wonder whether some or any client does that.

@CptSuperlative That&#39;s what I mean. Mastodon is a service you access via an app (web app like elk.zone or your server&#39;s web UI, or Tusky on phone, or whatever you like). That app can have notifications under the &quot;notifications&quot; tab or section in mastodon. Getting a *phone* notification is something a good phone client could make optional.
