What is it about Mark Zuckerberg's appearance or demeanor that creeps people out?
Yes yes billionaire and all that, I mean going beyond his company and personal ethics. People talk about how he looks and acts in the moment as creepy or unsettling, feelings which other tech bros don’t seem to evoke. Why is that?

My quest to get a steam controller has failed
This guy will have to wait for his younger brother. It was available to buy starting noon local time. I refreshed the page until the buy option became available, but kept getting an error when submitting payment. Waited about half an hour and now it’s sold out. Ni modo I guess.

What is your favorite smell?
We have a linen closet that for a time in my childhood was emptied out and made to serve as the “Nintendo room”, containing an NES hooked up to an old Commodore 64 monitor. I still associate that fabric/crafty smell with 8-bit gaming. I also love the smell of sun soaked dog fur.

What was your "we have to leave now" moment?
A favorite on /r/askreddit, or at least it seems that way to me. I only have one, and it’s not very entertaining. I was on a bus going to work. A few stops before mine the bus gets cut off by another bus. The driver started yelling at the other driver then pulled over and got out of the bus to, I assume, escalate the conflict. We were near my stop anyway, so I got off before things could get hairy.

Do you prefer bare bones software that you customize with plugins, or an all-in-one solution that does everything you need out of the box?
In my wiki roundup post I complained about DokuWiki’s reliance on plugins, but after scouring the landscape of FOSS wiki offerings nothing else offers exactly what I need. So I settled on DokuWiki with a bunch of plugins. I have plugins for tagging pages, moving pages, blogging (which I use as a place to quickly catch ideas as they come to me before pushing them to the wiki proper), listing orphaned and wanted pages, among others.
