At some point I&#39;d expect that even China will get close to the end of their internal oil reserves. Can&#39;t imagine China is willing to undergo that economic dislocation. Will they cut a deal with Iran to resume oil deliveries in a way that kicks the US to the curb? Economic crash in the US just in time for the midterms?

Trump knows full well that gas rationing would lead to a collapse of the Republican chances in the midterms in both the House and Senate. The Iranians know this too and have every incentive to keep Hormuz closed til it gets there. My question is would the generals obey an order to nuke Tehran?
