The state-university library consortium is moving from EZProxy to OpenAthens. I understand EZProxy as well as a non-sysadmin can, I think. I only know the essentials about OpenAthens. So... ... what does this migration mean for UX and for patron privacy, please?

Has nobody suggested that a lot of the supposed vulnerabilities this Mythos gizmo claims to have found are bullshit? Because that&#39;s what we&#39;ve seen with genAI bug reporting so far. Vast quantities of generated bug reports are bullshit. I don&#39;t understand why Mythos would be any different. Yet I just read a piece by somebody I thought was reputable enough to put in my feedreader that swallowed &quot;Mythos vulns are Big Scary News&quot; hook line and sinker.

I will say, if you&#39;re going to a conference where Library Freedom Project is exhibiting, they have THE BEST stickers and buttons. Also the hoodie I bought from them is every bit as warm and comfy as advertised. (It has the LFP logo on the front and &quot;AI IS NOT INTELLIGENCE, IT&#39;S IDEOLOGY&quot; on the back. I fully plan to wear mine to the next College of Computing and AI all-staff meeting because I will never be broken of being an enfant terrible.)
