Web spec folks, I'm confused by WebIDL As a mostly JS developer I'm confused by WebIDL. It seems like WebIDL's ability to define the types of JavaScript objects is substantially more limited than TypeScript or other user-land type systems. I assume that if TS or another system were unambiguously superior, it would have already been adopted by groups in this space What makes WebIDL preferable?
