  I have a “Corsair Void Elite” headset. For the last few years, I have been using an HRTF alone to apply 7.1 Audio to my headset. But now I want to apply equalization from AutoEq. Do I apply the equalization before or after the HRTF transformation? • Would you be interested in a mini-LTO drive?

  LTO drives are pretty cost effective for huge archivals, but given the recent developments with everything being so expensive. Would you be interested in a miniaturized format of LTO? Something like a Data8 cartridge, in a shell with magent protection, so you can have a singular terabyte or less in a safe and portable size. I could imagine it running in two modes, fast or slow, with varying storage capacities, based on use case. Maybe 256 MBps slow, and 512MBps fast, just throwing a number...

• Why the hell is the roof of our mouths so think?

  I ate a too hot omelette and burnt the roof of my mouth again. Now they feel sensitive and fragile, again. Why did we as a species, whom are omnivores, develop such thin mouth roofs? Hippos can crush entire watermelons with their mouths, why didn’t we get a touch inner roof.

  I recently had a skin biopsy done to verify what was exactly causing the condition I was experiencing. Now I have a tiny tiny little cut on me, and I am thinking “huh that’s going to heal funny / scar”. What was your skin biopsy like?

• Do dryer "condenser" kits work well enough?

  There are kits like this sold online, the one linked, specifically type 4 with a drawer, work as follows. Put about 1-2 cm of water in, optional an icepack. Run your dryer. At the end of the cycle, dump the collected condensed water, optionally swapping the ice pack. Do these work well enough to dehumidify dryer output in a rental environment?

• What happened to Android Download Managers?

  I remember when I was younger, Download managers were talked about as a preferable thing to have installed, so downloads would be handled consistently/faster, especially with slow and choppy internet back then. I realized today, that I haven’t really used one in a long time on my phone. What happened?

• Why does my "Hairstory New Wash" have a rancid smell in glass container

  I use Hairstory New Wash for my hair. A few months ago, I bought a glass and metal dispenser to squeeze out my refills into. I recently noticed that instead of a pleasant smell, there is a rancid / acidic smell coming from cowash inside and pumped out of the container. I wonder if this is because I would just layer a new refill on top of the old refill over and over. But the same refill packets still smell perfectly fine inside, even after months of being on the side & having been open...

  Jaka Parker is one of the few sources who provide valid video content of what life is like in the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea. Videos such as “COMPUTER STORE IN NORTH KOREA” are great resources to dispel common myths such as “there is no anime in North Korea”. But he is also a transphobe (citation), which leads me to not sharing it amongst leftist groups. What alternative sources for DPRK photography and life videos exist?

• Why did solar panel blinds/curtains never take off?

  Solar panels for roofs, balconies, lawns all exist. But why hasn’t solar panel blinds and curtains taken off? To me it seems really good for people who live in apartments and want to get more juice from the windows.

  I have an audio disc that I want to produce a one to one ISO of (it has some marks). When I try to use “ddrescue” to copy it, I get the following error message. ddrescue: /dev/sr0: Unaligned read error. Is sector size correct?. What am I doing wrong? I would assume “ddrescue” would automatically figure out the sector size. To note, I want to use “ddrescue” because “abcde” keeps hitting read errors on the disk.

  The premise behind a gravitational sensor is to detect changes to a local space time, in space. Would it be sorta like how we use sensitive machines to detect vibrations from earthquakes? Or would it not be possible because the sensor itself would interfere with the readings?
