  I’ve been designing a tiny tube oven for experiments that goes to 1200 C. The outside is water cooled and can be handled without issue.

  Having the worst of problems with our baking oven: it occasionally does not want to turn on at all. So you all know what will happen with perfect certainty if I call the service technician over. (Internet search for the issue is a pile of useless LLM slop, of course)

  I see fellow sailors, even professional ones, wrapping line around their hand to get more purchase. This seems intuitive but is super risky, you can damage or crush your hand when the line gets out of control and you can’t let go. Invest in some sailing gloves instead, if you need, and unlearn this habit. #segeln #sailing

  Another Deutsche Bahn long-distance trip, another 30+ minute delay, another missed connection that will lead to at least a two-hour delay. Trying to make the environmentally conscientious decisions really biting my ass here.
