  Radiohead - Kid A The question was, obviously, what the hell do you do after releasing OK Computer? If you keep going down that path, it's a long slide to irrelevance, and given their restlessness, boredom. So, *hard* pivot, more studios, picking up on the extant electronica trend, but making it theirs.   Kenny Dorham - The Complete 'Round About Midnight at the Café Bohemia Recent Tone Poet release of this classic 1956 set, expanded with the tracks added in the 1984 Japan release, plus more. Dorham and the band (J. R. Monterose (tenor), Kenny Burrell (guitar), Bobby Timmons (piano), Sam Jones (bass), andArthur Edghill (drums)) are locked in and playing great.   Laura Marling - Manchest Albert Hall 2025 - Patterns in Repeat Laura Marling, in concert. The first half is her, solo, with her guitar doing material from her career. The 2nd half adds a choir and strings, doing Patterns in Repeat in full. She's in great voice, and while the material in this form is a little monochromatic, the songs are great.   Mandy, Indiana - Urgh Long awaited follow-on to I've seen a way - along the same industrial/dance/noise lines as before, but MORE, and better. Most lyrics are still in French to challenge your comprehension, but as before, they go with the music...clearly cathartic for them. Not for everyone...but pretty great. Today, using Claude, I was able to fix the problem in about three minutes. The bug in Shortcuts’ “expand” action still exists…I sent in Feedback *and* provided sample code years ago, with no action taken. Thanks, Claude. Wish you had fixed it, Apple. ZIP files aren’t exactly obscure.

  Pink Floyd - The Endless River I've avoided late-period Pink Floyd, after The Wall. The Final Cut was execrable, and the post-Waters albums were...well, Gilmour is an amazing guitarist and a terrific singer, but he (and Polly Samson) write bland lyrics. Without the tension between him and Waters, their songs tend to be primarily atmospheric. Which might be what you're in the mood for. And this LP gives you that, with only one track with lyrics. It's...fine. #nowplayin...

  So, my house was built well before houses were wired for ethernet, and in two parts, one of which doesn't have any good way to pull wires. For years I used various wireless solutions to bridge, moving to MoCA 2.5 later on, but there were aspects of both that caused problems with some applications. I recently replaced that with an Invisilight fiber kit, which worked *great*. Easy, invisible, effective. Good stuff. https://amzn.to/4cMiAYn

  Here's a little #vinyl trick. If you resleeve your LPs (I use https://vinylstoragesolutions.ca dual-pocket sleeves), and want to remove the shrinkwrap but *preserve* the various hype stickers, UPC codes on stickers, etc, but find they're hard to remove without damaging them, try using some electronic freeze spray on the BACK of the sticker (the shrinkwrap). When you cool the surface, the glue stops working well, and the sticker can be removed. It re-warms quickly and will re-st...
