Took the big dogs around Hazelborough. Would have been nice had it not been for all the dangling caterpillars -- just found one now, and we've been back an hour.

Language runtimes shouldn't support #Windows. It buggers up pathnames, and wrapping them in some arbitrary object to get around Windows' brokenness just makes it more difficult than it needs to be on any sane OS. Yes, I'm looking at you #Python and #Rust.

Got a #spam this morning from a spammer flogging 'an #AI sales tool' -- quite why he / she / it thought I have any interest in such a thing I don't know -- and asking for a call sometime next week. So a spammer is trying to get an in-person meeting of some sort to flog an #LLM bullshit generator, rather than use the LLM bullshit generator at me. Unless they just have. I think I see a flaw in their business model.

Went foraging yesterday. ~500g of wild garlic. Private woodland, I'm the only one who picks it. Did about 1% of the plants (3-4 leaves only per plant on the bigger specimens) over about 5% of the patch. You wouldn't know I'd been.

Second at the quiz, down 't Mill. Bah. (19/20 in the first two rounds, then a rather nice 'ten well done doubled to twenty, ten well done, and ten well done' for the next three -- got a few boos, that; nobody else was close -- and fell apart in the final two. Two orders of magnitude out on the tie-breaker, which is what lost us first.)

I'd democratate, but no locals here for me. We did that last year. And elected a couple of Lib Dems and a Reformiac.
