Open letter from a group of sleuths re problems with editors/papers at Scientific Reports http://deevybee.blogspot.com/2024/10/an-open-letter-regarding-scientific.html They&#39;ve published 23K papers in 2024 with APC of £2090, raising £48 million from this journal alone, so should be able to put resource into cleaning this up.
