@Lassielmr @ptg@mstdn.ca @georgetakei the gist is in your very last sentence, as long as as Israel refuses to get help from the UN, would the US leave, they'd be replaced by Iran or potentially even by Russia.

@ptg@mstdn.ca @Lassielmr @georgetakei dude this is a horrible take. A lot of gazans are school aged children. What currently is happening with utilities is not unlike what Stalin did blockading Berlin trying to force locals to leave. Such form of collective punishment is against international law.

@paulb3017 about half of this box would make for a good gulyás soup

@ptg@mstdn.ca @Lassielmr @georgetakei I fear you mistake something want to see and validate for what is actually there. Hamas keeps Gaza in terror with violence and half the population are literal children. That still doesn't give anybody the right to violate international law. You can never, under any circumstances can penalize civilians for a military conflict.

@ptg@mstdn.ca @Lassielmr @georgetakei your argument is very slanted. For one neither Gaza nor the west bank are recognized independent territories so it is very much Israel's responsibility. Two, the fact Hamas occupies Gaza and attacks Israeli civilians does not warrant the aforementioned violation of international law. Because three, if stateless people are in your country made stateless by you than you are very much responsible.

@ptg@mstdn.ca @Lassielmr @georgetakei you really should read up on the Berlin airlift as you pretty awkwardly argue for the Soviet illegal Blockade . They too only wanted the western allies to just leave and let the zone be entirely under their control. It's never a good argument to say "look what you made me do, I am the victim here". Plus it's a pointless argument since if you don't recognize the UN you also don't recognize Israel, a country c...

@ptg@mstdn.ca @Lassielmr @georgetakei there's no law, are you from a parallel universe where the UN declaration of human rights and the various Geneva conventions don't exist?

@almostconverge@kozterulethasznalatienge.day After sending a message to a certain gamergate journalist for hijacking the conversation on tankie I got blocked by her and I wear it as a badge of honor. Nobodies conflict is another person's entertainment outside a fictional setting.

@ptg@mstdn.ca @Lassielmr @georgetakei BS, it is against international law to target civilians. I will reiterate this one last time: both Israel and modern human rights owe their existence to the UN after WWII. Bombing civilians, specially children is not self defense. Even more in light of the fact that the IDF was warned and they call Shin Bet woke. It is very much on them and hopefully bibi will lose his position forever. At minimum 4 out 5 Israelis blame him and want him gone.
