@mayintoronto @gruber Emojis follow the same rules as parentheses: if the emoji modifies the whole sentence, it goes after the period; otherwise it goes adjacent to what it modifies. However, emojis also add a visual break, which in informal writing allows you to end an unpunctuated sentence mid-paragraph, which otherwise only works at the end of paragraphs. Unpunctuated sentences have a lighter, more trail-off tone – like an ellipsis, but less serious about it. Consider &quot;No.&quot;...
