#TIL: Making DNS queries with &quot;getent&quot;. You know, it’s always DNS … But when working with (minimalist) OCI containers ( #Docker / #Podman) often the regular tools like &quot;ping&quot;, &quot;host&quot; or &quot;dig&quot; are not present. Today I learned there’s a binary #getent that’s part of the C library and present on even very minimalist environments like Alpine Linux that can make DNS queries 🤗 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Getent

Update: I received extensive feedback by maintainer OALDERS 👍️ Working on it … I am working on adding the new QUERY HTTP method to the Catalyst web framework. As a prerequisite I’ve sent a Pull Request to include the QUERY keyword in #Perl’s HTTP::Message dist: https://github.com/libwww-perl/HTTP-Message/pull/225/changes Does anyone want to review that? Is anyone waiting for QUERY in Catalyst? How about other Perl web frameworks? #CatalystFramework #HTTP #RFC10008

Zurück von den #clt2026 und für die, die bis heute arbeiten mussten, endlich Erholung vom sehr vollen Wochenende in Chemnitz! Danke an das ganze CLT-Team @clt_news für die fleißige Orga! 🤗 Man kann immer noch was verbessern, aber alles schon mega strukturiert und ziemlich umfassend dokumentiert! Das hat uns das Leben als Aussteller sehr erleichtert! 👍
