@datum HackerNews throws some cold water on the analysis. https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=47932060 (first two images) The &quot;How we built this&quot; section of the link also has some information. Putting all this together, I think Proton is calculating these numbers using data only from ads in Google search, not GMail or YouTube or anything else. I think they reach their numbers by assuming (a) that EVERY search results in an ad click and (b) that EVERY ad click pays the maxim...
