  I feel like people who are using LLMs for their work are not considering the motives and impact of the corporations hosting and serving the model. The goal isn't to make you a better developer, or even a more productive developer, its to make you dependent on their service and start driving up the rents to access it. The goal is to extract your time, your money, and your knowledge feeding these models your plans for the work you want to achieve. They are not benevolent.

  I am onto my second week of learning/using Orgmode. I'm not an emacs guy so maybe there is something I'm missing using the nvim orgmode plugin but so far, so good. Its pretty flexible and I am _feeling_ more organized. Though I'm not sure if I actually am.

  iPad note taking experiment is over. While I will miss how I felt a little more organized, I will not miss having to charge my pencil or seeing a visible lag on the page when I write. Sorry trees.

  Drizzle uses sequential numbers for their Database migrations which shows me that their team has not had experience with Database MIgration libraries in the past. Its such a pain to re-organization migrations when in my branch we are on 35, and my colleague's branch is on 35, and so we don't know whose goes first. A UNIX timestamp or extends date string literally fixes this problem.

  I am begging for the Ontario NDP to have an actual platform next election and not just react entirely to Doug Ford. Reacting to his party’s corruption and incompetence allows the Tories to control the political narrative for the election cycle. Have some solid policies around education, healthcare, and housing, and introduce some sort of jobs program, and just stick to that narrative. Don’t sway. Only react and call out Ford’s nonsense during a debate. #onpoli
