    One of my favorite trumpeters, Charles Tolliver has re-released his debut album *Paper Man* (1968) as *Right Now...and Then*. It has an outstanding lineup with Gary Bartz, Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter, and Joe Chambers.     Yeah I gotta ask again. WTF? How do we not know the status of a US Senator? Is our government even real? Anyone else feel like it exists in some sort of One Ring shadow realm? Populated with ghouls and wraiths?

    It&amp;#39;s a dark day to be a Kansan. If you are not from here, you can make a statement about the awful nature of Kansas governance and support trans rights *by not coming here*. Spend your money somewhere else. Send your kids to college somewhere else.
