The Mortal Kombat games’ solo campaigns are insanely impressive in their ambitions, and MK1 takes it to a completely new level. Long and highly detailed movie segments with fun fight insertions. Almost movie worthy.

Listening to a podcast discussing Hail Mary and speed of light led me to new (maybe incorrect) insights. Since you can’t accelerate to C (energy tangent -> infinity) and time slows down exponentially, does time then stand still for photons, who DO travel in C…meaning they can be everywhere at once?

St Julian’s in Malta seems like the perfect mix of maximum capitalism and minimum taxation. The hotels and commercial parts are top notch while most of the coastal line is cut off from the public and the few remaining parts are dirty or ruined.

I have a very strange experience with Foundation Models, where my next word prediction session returns uppercase words when in Safari, otherwise lowercase. There is nothing in the instructions or prompts that change, and it's always running inside a keyboard extension, so Safari being the host must somehow be affecting the system logic in a very strange way.

Using both Codex and Claude Code to create a new website, I am amazed how much faster Claude is, and how much better result I get. Night and day.

I’m flying to @SwiftLeeds for my talk on SDK Best Practices. I’ve been looking forward to this for so long and can’t wait to see the other talks. It’s my third year attending SwiftLeeds, such a great conference! Let me know if you’re going and want to meet up. https://swiftleeds.co.uk

I had a great time at @SwiftLeeds, where I got to meet so many amazing people! Like we say in Sweden - "Ingen nämnd, ingen glömd" (No one mentioned, no one forgotten). I enjoyed giving my talk "Best Practices in SDK Development", and answer some questions here: https://danielsaidi.com/blog/2025/10/11/swiftleeds-questions-and-answers

A recording of my talk Best Practices in SDK Development" has been published by the amazing @SwiftLeeds team. I haven't watched it due to severe cringe-related issues, but if you're interested in building SDKs, you may find it interesting. #swift #sdks https://danielsaidi.com/talks/2025/10/08/best-practices-in-sdk-development
